Day 1, Friday: Pick up car from the SJC Airport and come back home - pack and leave by 7pm
Reach Mt. Shasta for the night at 12:30am.
Coffee at starbucks in the morning with some beautiful views of the mountains.
Day 2, Saturday: Drive down to crater lake - snow snow snow. And the search for the gas station. Did not see the lake but beautiful !
Dinner at Eugene at a taco place and reach Portland at 1am. Hard to find parking. Hotel Moxy is funky but nice and clean.
Day 3, Sunday: Powell bookshop in the morning but before that coffee from a random diner and pizza at a nicish pizza shop (don't get the vegan option!)
Back to hotel and checkout.
Meet friend for lunch at a ramen place - yum! Drive down to multnomah falls - rain and beautiful views. Much more beautiful than I remembered the falls.
Drive down to cannon beach. A wonderful dinner at a brewery. Beautiful little cottage to stay in.
Day 4, Monday (HOLIDAY): Get up at 7am and to the beach - empty and cold but we were prepared with layers and hand warmers.
Breakfast pancakes! back to the hotel for checkout.
And we start the 740mile drive at 10am.
Very nice calm enjoyable and not at all boring drive down to San Jose. Reached home at 2am.
Day 5, Tuesday: Return car at the airport before 4pm.
